Conway is one of the oldest towns in South Carolina. Given the history of the town, there are several landmarks that are well-known to locals and visitors alike. 1. Horry County Museum
Located at 805 N Main St, the Horry County Museum has everything you need to learn all about the county, including Conway. Since 1979, the museum has been showcasing a wide array of artifacts that depict Southern culture, particularly as it relates to Horry County. You’ll find everything from educational pieces to entertaining items.

2. Theater of the Republic

3. Conway Riverwalk

Located along 2nd Ave, the Conway Riverwalk boasts a peaceful path that skims the Waccamaw River. In addition to the path, you’ll also find grassy areas, playgrounds, historic buildings, pretty marinas, and plenty of benches to rest on when taking a break from your walk.
The Riverwalk is approximately 1.5 miles long and is considered an easy trek, making it the perfect place for a leisurely stroll. There are also festivals that take place here, including the Conway Riverfest. After you get your steps in, enjoy your ride back home in your Ford Edge.
4. L.W. Paul Living History Farm
The L.W. Paul Living History Museum is named after Larry Paul, a local businessman who offered to fund the development of this family farm to showcase what life was like as a farming family. When visiting, you’ll be able to get a sense of what the farm life was like back in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Along your guided farm tour, you can get a glimpse of activities that would be included in a farm family’s typical day.
