ford bronco conway sc The all-new Ford Bronco, back after 25 years, is an exciting addition to the Ford lineup. This SUV is the ultimate off-road utility vehicle with a bold stance that looks much like a modern version of the original. The 2021 Bronco also comes with modern technology, some comfort features that will take it from off-road adventures to comfortable on-road driving, and strong, fuel-efficient engines. Here’s all you need to know about the 2021 Ford Bronco.

Exterior Look

The Bronco has a bold exterior look that takes a lot of inspiration from the first-generation model. The doors are completely removable, and you can choose between the two- and four-door model. The roof also comes off the four-door version for a complete open-air driving experience. You get 17-inch wheels and 32-inch tires with the Big Bend model, while the Black Diamond trim adds a modular front bumper and a steel rear bumper, along with skid plates and a rubber floor. The Outer Banks trim adds more tech features, and the Wildtrak trim has a more powerful engine

Power

Two engines power the 2021 Ford Bronco. The first is a 2.3-liter turbo EcoBoost with 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, and the second is a 2.7-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost that generates 310 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. A 10-speed automatic transmission works with either of the engines, and when equipped with the 2.7-liter, it can tow up to 3,500 pounds.

Off-Road Capabilities

The 2021 Bronco is all about off-road performance. Four-wheel drive comes standard, and you get a choice between a two-speed transfer case with the standard system or a two-speed electromechanical transfer case with the advanced system. Depending on the trim, the Bronco offers seven different terrain response modes. Ford named this system G.O.A.T, or Goes Over Any Type of Terrain.

This new SUV also comes with Ford’s Crawl Control, and it has a Trail One-Pedal Drive system that turns the focus more on the throttle and brake operation. Trail Turn Assist is another off-road extra that tightens up the turning radius by automatically applying the rear brakes to make the Bronco pivot at the center.

Interior

The interior of the Bronco also pays tribute to the original, but with modern touches. You can get either an 8-inch touch screen display or a 12-inch touch screen with navigation that also has wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. A unique bar runs along the top of the dash so you can mount a phone or a GoPro camera, and the floor is rubberized and even includes drain plugs to make it easy to rinse off with a hose after dusty and muddy off-roading.

Safety Tech

All the Broncos will have the option to add Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite of advanced safety systems. This group includes features such as forward collision warning, automatic braking, blind-spot monitors, and rear cross-traffic alert. It will also offer trailer sway control and a 360-degree surround-view camera.

The 2021 Ford Bronco is everything drivers have been waiting for and more. It’s bold, powerful, and capable, making it the ultimate SUV. Take one for a test drive later this year to see what you’ve been missing.
