Conway, SC and Myrtle Beach, SC are two precious gems in the great state of South Carolina. In Conway, you have one of the oldest cities in the United States. This charming, laid-back town oozes with rich history and has the architecture to boot. With Myrtle Beach, you have idyllic scenery that only the coast can provide, and of course, fabulous beaches. One thing they both have in common is tremendous golf courses. Let’s take a look.

Myrtle Beach National

You know that any course designed by the king Arnold Palmer is going to be a good one. There are multiple courses here and the North Course is known to be a challenge for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens run fast and there are plenty of hazards along the way that try and make sure you don’t reach the dancefloor in regulation. The West Course is a little more beginner-friendly with no heart-stopping water hazards.

Wild Wing Plantation

Wild Wing is an elegant course surrounded by natural beauty. You won’t find endless houses and condos on the course; just lush trees and rolling hills. It’s an extremely fun course with many high-risk/high-reward holes to make that skins game interesting. The greens are great, and there are multiple tee box locations to suit your skill level. This is a challenging course but a fair one. The price is right, and the staff is friendly.

Whispering Pines Golf Club

This gorgeous course sprawls across 200 acres of rolling hills and towering pines. This course is definitely a challenge as there are multiple unforgiving tree-lined fairways, smartly placed water hazards and bunkers, and lightning-fast greens. Even if the course eats you up, you should still have a good time as the scenery is second to none. This course is right across the street from the airport, so don’t forget to pack your clubs on the flight.

Beachwood Golf Club

Beachwood has been a part of North Myrtle Beach since 1968. The 18-hole course is always in great shape and is a course where all skill levels can enjoy a round without pulling their hair out. The layout isn’t anything extravagant and allows for some decent scores if you’re striking the ball well. The course also features a pro shop, snack bar, driving range, and lounge.

Arcadian Shores Golf Course

Arcadian Shores is challenging but not unfair. You can get into trouble if you wander off the fairways but if you’re solid off the tee box it can lead to some great scoring opportunities. The course is known to always be in immaculate shape with pristine tee boxes and smooth, fast greens. The grounds crew does a great job as does the rest of the clubhouse staff. The price is right and this one is worth checking out.

When you’re done with the clubs, swing on by to Conway Ford and let our friendly staff suit you up with something a little faster than a golf cart. We have a great selection of new and used vehicles to take a look at in our showroom.
