This all-electric pony car is also the first SUV to carry the Mustang badge. Here’s some more information on what to expect from this performance-focused all-electric vehicle.

Ford is also offering a limited First Edition trim, which will feature First Edition scuff plates, red brake calipers, brushed aluminum pedals, and three exterior colors. However, rumor has it that all First Edition models have already been reserved.

The Mach-E comes with a choice of two battery sizes and is available in either rear- or all-wheel drive. The base model features the smaller 75.7-kWh battery pack that provides a range of 230 miles, while the higher trims come with a 98.9-kWh battery that will give you a range of up to 300 miles. With the high-performance GT trim, Ford is planning to provide a powertrain that delivers an impressive 459 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque. Other trims will offer 332 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque.

The Mach-E features Ford’s next-gen Sync infotainment system that’s as intuitive as your smartphone. It comes with a giant 15.5-inch central touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and cloud-connected navigation. To boot, the system is designed to learn driver preferences over time.

The Mach-E also features the Phone As A Key system with which you can remotely start your car, lock and unlock doors, open and close windows, activate the panic alarm, and open the liftgate. This system also recognizes the driver as soon as they approach the vehicle, and auto-adjusts all settings, such as the lighting, mirrors, and radio according to their preferences.

Safety

Mach-E’s standard Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 and Co-Pilot 360 Assist systems will keep you safe on the road. This safety suite includes a whole bevy of advanced driver-assist systems, such as pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping, a rear-view camera, auto high beams, reverse-brake assist, post-collision braking, reverse sensing, adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, active park assist, and a 360-degree camera.

Interior

The cabin of the Mach-E is spacious and provides ample head- and legroom for up to five passengers. In the front of the cabin is a “frunk,” which is a storage space of 4.8 cubic feet that can accommodate a piece of airline cabin baggage. This storage space has a drainage function, which means you can use it as an ice chest and can also rinse it with a hose as needed. The rear trunk provides a storage area of 29 cubic feet. Available is a panoramic fixed glass roof that features a special coating that will keep your Mach-E cool in the summer and warm in the cold winter months.
