Ford’s Automatic Emergency Braking: How It Protects You

Activation of Automatic Emergency Braking

With this feature, reversing your Ford also becomes far safer. While you’re backing up, if an obstacle is detected behind you, you’ll be warned in much the same way as with Pre-Collision Assist. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

Another risky moment for all drivers is when backing out into a road from a tight parking spot or driveway. With Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, your car scans the road behind you to both sides and warns you of any oncoming vehicles. If you continue to back out, your car can apply the automatic brakes, stopping you from hitting the other car as it passes.
