Whether you have heavy loads to haul or need to move a big RV, the 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty can handle whatever the day brings. This heavy-duty truck provides massive hauling and towing power and boasts a practical design inside and out.
Exceptional Towing Capacity
The F-250 is Ford’s entry-level Super Duty truck, but it has a massive towing capacity. Its standard powertrain, a 405-hp 6.2L V8 gas engine paired with a 10-speed TorqShift-G automatic transmission, has a conventional towing capacity of 17,300 pounds in the Regular Cab 8′ Box 4×2 configuration.
Maximum towing power comes from the available 500-hp 6.7L V8 high-output turbo diesel engine that offers a conventional towing capacity of up to 22,000 pounds in the Supercab and Crew Cab configurations or up to 23,000 pounds of gooseneck towing capacity in the Regular Cab 8′ Box 4×2.
Massive Hauling Power
This truck can tow like a pro and haul like a champ. The base engine delivers a standard payload capacity of up to 3,794 pounds in the Regular Cab 8′ Box 4×2 configuration and between 2,347 and 3,403 pounds on the other available configurations. Maximum hauling capacity comes from the available 7.3L V8 gas engine that has a maximum cargo weight rating of 3,800 pounds.
Fully Boxed High-Strength Steel Frame
For enhanced durability and improved handling, the F-250 SD boasts a rigid construction and has a fully boxed high-strength steel frame with up to ten crossmembers. This construction allows the truck to withstand heavy-duty hauling and towing while enhancing balance and maneuverability in challenging driving conditions.
Available Off-Road Packages
Four-wheel drive is available or standard on each F-250 model, but if you’re looking for serious off-roading capability, you can opt for one of the available off-road packages. Depending on the package, you can customize the truck with 33-inch or 35-inch off-road or all-terrain tires for added ground clearance and grip, performance suspensions, skid plates, and water fording vent tubes, to name a few.
Select packages also include exclusive drive modes, such as Rock Crawl and Trail Control, adjusting the power and torque distribution for various terrains.
