Three of the Best Barbecue Restaurants Near Conway, SC Worth the Drive

Sometimes nothing will satisfy your cravings like really great barbecue. In Conway, South Carolina, we have some really great barbecue spots that you can rely on when that craving hits. After a long day of work in your reliable Ford F250, head to one of these spots for the best barbecue in our area.

CW's Wings and Ribs

You'll find this spot at 117 Rivertown Blvd, and they are open from 11 AM until 9 PM on Sunday and from Tuesday through Thursday and until 10 PM on Friday and Saturday. They are closed on Monday. This is a great spot for reasonable prices, delicious barbecue, and nice service. They also have plenty of non-barbecue offerings, so this is a good spot to bring the family if you have kids who don't appreciate barbecue.

We'd recommend that you start out with their loaded nachos or the delicious mac & cheese bites. Their barbecue basket is slow-cooked, pulled pork covered in barbecue sauce. They also do great wings, and you can order a full rack of pork ribs that is slow-cooked until it falls off the bone. Get it with one of their great sauces: Carolina rub, Kentucky bourbon, Doc's barbecue, classic barbecue, and lots more.

Radd Dew's Bar-B-Que Pit

For a really traditional Carolina barbecue experience, you have to visit the spot at 851 Horry Rd. in nearby Aynor, South Carolina. They are only open on Friday Saturday and Sunday. On Friday and Saturday, they are open between 4 PM and 9 PM. On Sunday, they open from 11 AM until 3 PM.

Get there for the amazing all-you-can-eat southern barbecue buffet. What's on it? Chopped vinegar barbecue pork, chicken bog, fried chicken, fried shrimp, tomato barbecue pork, broccoli casserole, hash and rice, mac & cheese, coleslaw, fried shrimp, lima beans, and lots more. Or, get their barbecued pork sandwich or take home chopped barbecue by the pint. If you don't want to eat there, you can get their to-go plates which include two servings of meat and three sides with hush puppies or a biscuit.

Bonfire Taqueria

A lot of people see this as the very best barbecue in the city, and there's no doubt that it's very good. You'll find this Gastro pub at 951 2nd Avenue here in Conway, and they are open from 11 AM until 9 PM from Tuesday through Sunday. They have some great beer on tap, and if you enjoy some, please do so responsibly and never drink and drive.

Be sure to find out what their regular specials are so you can visit on your favorite day. On Wednesday, they serve cheese and pork stuffed poblano peppers. They also have great brunch specials on Saturday and Sunday. One of our favorites is the cowboy casserole, which is smoked chicken with bacon, sausage, poblanos, tater tots, and a lot more. But of course, you can just get their amazing meats which are all dry-rubbed in the St. Louis style and smoked over oak and hickory.

Conway, SC and Myrtle Beach, SC are two precious gems in the great state of South Carolina. In Conway, you have one of the oldest cities in the United States. This charming, laid-back town oozes with rich history and has the architecture to boot. With Myrtle Beach, you have idyllic scenery that only the coast can provide, and of course, fabulous beaches. One thing they both have in common is tremendous golf courses. Let's take a look. Myrtle Beach National You know that any course designed by the king Arnold Palmer is going to be a good one. There are multiple courses here and the North Course is known to be a challenge for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens run fast and there are plenty of hazards along the way that try and make sure you don't reach the dancefloor in regulation. The West Course is a little more beginner-friendly with no heart-stopping water hazards. Wild Wing Plantation Wild Wing is an elegant course surrounded by natural beauty. You won't find endless houses and condos on the course; just lush trees and rolling hills. It's an extremely fun course with many high-risk/high-reward holes to make that skins game interesting. The greens are great, and there are multiple tee box locations to suit your skill level. This is a challenging course but a fair one. The price is right, and the staff is friendly. Whispering Pines Golf Club This gorgeous course sprawls across 200 acres of rolling hills and towering pines. This course is definitely a challenge as there are multiple unforgiving tree-lined fairways, smartly placed water hazards and bunkers, and lightning-fast greens. Even if the course eats you up, you should still have a good time as the scenery is second to none. This course is right across the street from the airport, so don't forget to pack your clubs on the flight. Beachwood Golf Club Beachwood has been a part of North Myrtle Beach since 1968. The 18-hole course is always in great shape and is a course where all skill levels can enjoy a round without pulling their hair out. The layout isn't anything extravagant and allows for some decent scores if you're striking the ball well. The course also features a pro shop, snack bar, driving range, and lounge. Arcadian Shores Golf Course Arcadian Shores is challenging but not unfair. You can get into trouble if you wander off the fairways but if you're solid off the tee box it can lead to some great scoring opportunities. The course is known to always be in immaculate shape with pristine tee boxes and smooth, fast greens. The grounds crew does a great job as does the rest of the clubhouse staff. The price is right and this one is worth checking out.
