The 2025 Ford Mustang is available in nine trims: EcoBoost Fastback, EcoBoost Premium Fastback, EcoBoost Convertible, EcoBoost Premium Convertible, GT Fastback, GT Premium Fastback, GT Premium Convertible, Dark Horse, and Dark Horse Premium. The redesigned exterior showcases LED headlights with tri-bar daytime running lights across all models. The EcoBoost Fastback and Convertible ride on 17-inch Ebony Black-painted aluminum wheels, while EcoBoost Premium models use 18-inch machined-face aluminum wheels. GT Fastback models feature 19-inch machined-face aluminum wheels with dark-painted pockets, and GT Premium models sport 19-inch premium-painted aluminum wheels.

Dark Horse models stand out with 19-inch Titanium-painted aluminum wheels and a model-specific front fascia featuring larger grille openings and specialized badging. The convertible models feature a power-folding soft top with one-touch operation. All 2025 Mustangs incorporate an angular front grille design and more aerodynamic body lines, complemented by redesigned LED taillights that maintain the signature tri-bar layout. The Dark Horse models add a fixed rear wing spoiler, emphasizing their performance-focused nature.

The 2025 Mustang offers three distinct powertrain options. The EcoBoost models feature a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 315 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. GT models step up to a 5.0-liter V-8 engine producing 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The Dark Horse models utilize a specially tuned version of the 5.0-liter V-8, delivering 500 horsepower and 418 pound-feet of torque.

The EcoBoost models accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds, while GT models accomplish the same sprint in 4.2 seconds. Dark Horse models lead the lineup with 0 to 60 mph times under 4 seconds. A 10-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters comes standard across all trims, with GT and Dark Horse models offering an optional six-speed manual transmission. Dark Horse models include a Performance Package featuring a Torsen limited-slip differential.

All models incorporate selectable drive modes — Normal, Sport, Slippery, Drag, and Track — allowing drivers to optimize vehicle dynamics for different conditions. GT and Dark Horse models benefit from a launch control system, while Dark Horse models receive Brembo brakes with six-piston front calipers for enhanced stopping power.

A 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster and 13.2-inch SYNC 4 touch screen infotainment system command the dashboard.
