2025 Ford Explorer

The 2025 Ford Explorer is available in four trims: Active, ST-Line, ST, and Platinum. The Active trim comes equipped with LED signature lighting, 18-inch painted aluminum wheels, and a black mesh grille with chrome bars. The ST-Line elevates the exterior with a high-gloss black mesh grille, 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, and black roof rails. The performance-oriented ST features a blackout exterior treatment complemented by red ST badging, 21-inch aluminum wheels, performance brakes with red calipers, and quad exhaust tips. The top-tier Platinum showcases premium elements including a satin aluminum finish grille, 21-inch bright-machined aluminum wheels, and satin chrome exterior accents.

The Active and ST-Line trims are powered by a 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine generating 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The ST receives a high-output 3.0L EcoBoost V6 producing 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The Platinum features a 3.0L EcoBoost V6 tuned for 365 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. All engines pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission for optimal performance and efficiency.

The ST trim accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds, while the Platinum achieves this sprint in 5.7 seconds. Every Explorer comes standard with Intelligent 4WD and the Terrain Management System, optimizing performance across various driving conditions. The ST benefits from a sport-tuned suspension for enhanced handling and responsiveness. When properly equipped, all Explorer trims can tow up to 5,600 pounds, making it capable for both daily driving and weekend adventures.
