2020 Ford Edge
If you're in the market for a midsize SUV, the 2020 Ford Edge offers a refined ride and a quiet, spacious cabin. It provides the versatility you need within its sleek, aerodynamic styling. The low and wide stance creates a road presence that will get you noticed.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Edge is offered in SE, SEL, the luxurious Titanium, and high-performance ST trim levels. The SE trim gives you LED headlamps, configurable LED daytime running lights, a metal look grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color door handles and rear spoiler, power door mirrors, and LED taillights.
SEL models feature signature LED lighting, LED fog lamps, a keyless entry pad, body-color heated mirrors with courtesy lamps and LED turn signals, and silver roof rails, while the Titanium adds 19-inch wheels and a hands-free foot-activated power liftgate. The sporty ST gets unique styling details, a black mesh sport grille, 20-inch wheels, and dual trapezoidal exhaust tips.
Engine (Power)
Standard power is provided by a lively turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivering 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque to the front or all four wheels. Under the hood of the exclusively all-wheel-drive ST is a growling twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6 engine that produces 355 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Both engines are mated to a slick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
The four-cylinder engine will give you up to 22 mpg around the city and 29 mpg for highway driving, while the V-6 returns up to 19 and 26 mpg. The ST features sharper handling and sport-tuned suspension and can take you from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds. When properly equipped, AWD Edge models have a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
Interior
SE models feature fabric upholstery, reclining 60/40 split-folding rear seats, and a space-saving rotary gear shift dial. The infotainment system offers voice recognition with Bluetooth, smartphone integration, a Wi-Fi hot spot, and six-speaker audio with MP3 compatibility and satellite radio. The SEL adds upgraded upholstery, power front seats, a leather-bound steering wheel, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Inside the luxurious Titanium, you'll find remote start, leather upholstery, driver's seat memory function, heated front seats, a customizable 4.2-inch vehicle information display, ambient lighting, wireless charging, a 110-volt power outlet, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. The sports-themed interior of the ST features leather-trimmed Miko upholstery.
Safety Features
Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology is standard on the Edge and includes auto start-stop technology, AdvanceTrac with roll stability control and curve control, traction control, blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, a lane keeping system, hill start assist, reverse parking sensors, post-collision braking, an SOS post-crash alert system, rain-sensing wipers and wiper-activated headlamps.
Also included are automatic high beams, a rearview camera with zoom feature for easier trailer hitching, and an individual tire pressure monitoring system. For SEL models and up, you can opt for the Ford Co-Pilot 360 assist package that features evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and a navigation system. The ST also qualifies for the ST Performance Brake Package.
